If you haven’t met us yet, we’re Helena & Warren Denley & we are the techy, WordPress website lovers behind WP Website Coach.
If you’ve ever asked yourself any of these questions, you’re in the right place.
“I want to start blogging and I’ve heard about WordPress, how do I get it all set up?”
“I’m a coach/health practitioner, how do I get clients and offer my services online?”
“How do I use WordPress, how do I set up Google Analytics, what about SEO? I want to learn the basics so I can grow my business.”
“I’ve got a big idea. I need to work out what my options are. I want help mapping out the path forward and working out what I can do myself and what I need help with.”
Here is how WP Website Coach will help you with your business.
It’s a fact of life that we are living in a digital era.
We search for information on Google, we look at a business’s website to see what they do & if they’re right for us, we share our lives and pictures on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram.
There is a fascination with websites, we love the way they look, we love the way they work and what we can do with them.
Which means if you want your own website, whether it be to blog about your daily adventures or you’re starting your own coaching or health business, understanding websites is essential.
That understanding could be as simple as how to write a blog post or as complex as learning html, css & php to make your website uniquely yours (& gorgeous) and everything in between.
Regardless of where you are, we are here to help you with your WordPress website.
And instead of spending days and weeks (even months) searching through Google for the right answers to help you create your own website…
…subscribe to WP Website Coach (it’s free) and you’ll get all the inside know-how from two people who eat, sleep, live and breathe websites and especially WordPress (that’d be us).
And the best part? We attend and speak at WordCamps, we meet the people who make the tools we use, and we build websites ourselves, so we know what works and what doesn’t. We’ll guide you in how to use the best hosting, themes and plugins in the industry, to create a website that will grow with you as your blog or business grows.
Here is what you’ll find on WP Website Coach:
The blog is where you’ll find the latest website tutorials and information about themes and plugins, and what you need to be aware of on your site – e.g taking care of backups and security to keep your site safe from hackers, what to do to upgrade your website software.
WordPress Coaching – want to fast-track your progress? Book a one-on-one session where you can ask all the questions specific to your website and via the magic of Skype and screen sharing, we’ll take you through what you need to know and how to actually do it yourself.
Resources – the themes, plugins and other services we use to make creating and running a website easy – they’re the secrets that most website pros keep to themselves – but we want to share them with you.
Emergency Tech Rescue for those times when unexpected things go wrong and ongoing
Website Care – ongoing insurance for your website that provides more value than your average health insurer (perfect for reducing your stress levels).

When Warren and I first met, we had no idea that we would one day be running a business together.
Probably because I had played my role as a dance instructor, spent a good amount of time in the hospitality business, and was even a wedding consultant for a while.
And Warren… He was educated in electrical and electronic engineering, was in the Air Force, and he admits was heavily involved in computer geekery–eventually becoming an IT consultant and Business Analyst.
But we met, we fell in love, and we experienced heartbreak.
Our first daughter died.
I embarked on a personal development crusade. Landmark Education, life coaching, neuro-lingustic programming, performance consulting–I was moving into another world.
And after seeing how these techniques helped me put my life back together, I decided to become a coach and help others.
Of course, every coach needs a good website. I decided to make my own.
Others liked my site so much they asked me to create websites for them.
Then a strange thing happened – I found I liked making websites more than I liked coaching people!
Then I found WordPress.
And my first paying client.
And Warren was always there to help out with any of the more technical issues.
As overused as this cliche is…it really was history from there.
How did Warren and I become your Website Dream Team?
Well, Warren is–humbly put–a Knight in Shining Armour when you’ve got a problem with your site.
And I love everything about WordPress and how you can use it to make your online business really work and look beautiful too.
Between us we have:
- Reviewed websites and provided feedback for improvements
- Provided training to help people use and maintain their sites
- Worked through the night to resolve technical issues with shopping carts (in order to meet launch deadlines)
- Secured sites that were previously providing open invitations to hackers
… and in between this we have delivered some pretty kick-arse sites 🙂
So yes…you will find me at events like Pressnomics (the business of WordPress) and WordCamps around the world, either as the note-taker or the speech-giver.
And Warren–he’s that rare combination of WOW and actually solving your problems–so you don’t have to worry about the ‘tech stuff’ ever again.
We’re also people you will love to work with
(because, well– we’re really great people)
Helena: An introvert, but loves people. So she’s a really good listener. And she’s got an eye for detail that borders on obsessive. 🙂
Warren: Can translate ‘tech-speak’ into actual fun. (Rare, rare gift, people). And in an afternoon he can create a road map for your business that will show you how all the technical pieces fit together.
We live in a beautiful place
In Melbourne, just 3 doors down from the beach.
The one thing that gets us to jump out of bed in the morning – our 7 year old son Daniel
And our ideal life looks something like this
Living right on the beach – where we can step off our back porch onto the sand and go for a walk first thing in the morning. Work outside with gorgeous scenery, alternate our work periods, and have individual and family play time together with our spirited and passionate son, Daniel.
And lounging around for 6 months in France, Italy, or London wouldn’t be bad either. 😉
But while we’re working towards our dreams…what about yours?
We would love to hear what you are working too, and what your challenges are. Why not drop us a line via our Contact page – we would love to know how we can best help you.
And while you are at it, why not sign up to our mailing list to get notifications of new content on our site…

Working as a Business Analyst on technical projects for over 15 years, Warren has developed a knack for moulding available technologies into business solutions. As a WordPress Consultant, Warren has spoken at WordCamp Melbourne, Sydney & Brisbane (Australia) and regularly speaks at WordPress Meetups in Melbourne.
When not creating websites or helping people with WordPress technical issues, Warren likes to test his physical endurance, having already completed the Oxfam 100km walk 3 times and Tough Mudder in 2014.
Helena wants to live in a world where every woman with a business dream has access to the tools and help she needs to make that dream a reality.
As a WordPress Consultant, she’s spoken at WordCamp Melbourne & Brisbane (Australia), WordCamp Chicago and WordCamp Minneapolis and her local WordPress meet up group and attends conferences such as Pressnomics and WordCamps in Australia and the US to keep her skills fresh and up-to-date.
When she’s not creating websites and learning about website best practices, you can find her answering copious questions from her 7 year old son and learning how to be an Unschooling Mum.
